Competing as Under nine and under eleven in boys and girls races, the outcome was winners from four different schools. Fourteen schools provided runners, all but one had entrants in every race. This course at East Cheshire Harriers is where some champion runners have started out. National Schools winner Simon Horsfield, European U20 Triathlon champion and junior cross country national champion Georgia Taylor Brown and England International Joe Steward. Will any of these runners achieve such glory? Who knows but they have the possibility of many years running ahead of them.
This opportunity would not be possible without Saul Gallagher and his volunteers from East Cheshire Harriers and Bake Ellis Athletics co-coordinator.
