The Manchester Marathon took place today in nice, sunny conditions with 9 East Cheshire athlete’s completing the 26.2 miles.
Chris Swire was first home for ECH running a brilliant time of 2.50.37, finishing 132nd overall and 13th in his Vet 45 age category. Next home was Mark Millns in 3.17.24 (1067th overall and 249th Vet 35), followed by Franny Day who had a great run to finish 5th Vet 65 in a time of 3.25.43 (1522nd overall).
Other ECH finishers and good performances came from Andrew Cole 3.33.11 (2023rd overall and 130th Vet 50), Robert Sutton 3.38.30 (2367th and 477th Vet 35), Janet Grint 3.52.23 (3492nd and 101st Female Vet 40), Neil Woods 3.55.57 (3831st and 254th Vet 50), Thomas Clarke 3.57.15 (3966th and 482nd Vet 45) and Hannah Sellers 4.56.54 (7339th and 698th Senior Female). Well done to all!
