East Cheshire’s Chris Swire and Michelle Vaughan both represented England on Sunday at the Chester Marathon competing against the Celtic Nations. Both have struggled with injuries over the summer so have done really well to make it to the start line and put a good race together.
Chris came home in 289th position overall with a time of 3.05.03 and was 23rd in his vet 50 age category. Michelle ran superbly to finish with a new personal best time of 3.11.45 to come home in 380th place overall and 6th in her vet 45 age category.
Chris Johnson also finished the race on the day with a time of 4.44.50 finishing 10th overall in his vet 70 age group. Well done to all, great achievements!
