Club Welfare & Safeguarding Statement
It will not have escaped anyone’s attention that the issue of welfare and
safeguarding within sport is keenly in focus as a consequence of historical
concerns now being highlighted from the world of football.
At East Cheshire Harriers & Tameside Athletics Club we are not ignorant of
those responsibilities which this organisation carries and would highlight
our welfare and safeguarding statement which is contained in the Child
Protection & Vulnerable Adults Policy contained within the Club Information
Section section under Code of Conduct on our website.
CRB/DBS checks are an integral component of the coaching licence process of
England Athletics and comprehensive information is detailed within the
England Athletics website for anyone requiring further information.
All our coaching staff should be in possession of a valid licence which you
should request to view at anytime to seek any reassurance you require.
The Club Welfare Officer is Sue Hudak and we would urge anyone with any
concerns or queries relative to this topic to speak in confidence with her.
