Good afternoon,
It is with great sadness to announce that Heather Hirst fell asleep peacefully, surrounded by her family on 27th August.
She touched many hearts and was a member of the club for 22 years, starting out just ‘holding coats’ whilst her daughter Beth was training as a child and went on to coach and inspire many young people in athletics.
East Cheshire Harriers and many of you were very close to her heart.
Funeral details:
Heather Hirst funeral service to be held at Dukinfield crematorium on Wednesday 15th September at 10am sharp, which will last approximately 30 minutes. This will be followed by a celebration of life gathering at ECH clubhouse until 3pm, with food provided and the bar open to purchase drinks. All who wish to attend are welcome.
